Expovina Primavera Zurich

On March 21, expovinaPrimavera opens its doors for the 14th time and promises wine lovers a variety of wine inspirations. For eight days, the lively foundry hall at PULS 5, in the center of Zurich West, will be transformed into a marketplace for wine lovers and consumers from the greater Zurich area and the neighboring countries.

More than 80 wine producers and wine merchants offer a fascinating journey through the world of wine during 8 days, offering around 2,000 wines from all the major wine growing regions of the world for tasting, comparison and enjoyment. Top-class specialties and rarities can be found at the spring wine fair as well as renowned everyday wines.

Traditionally, the first wines of the new vintage are presented at expovinaPRIMAVERA, wines from the southern hemisphere as well as from European and above all from Swiss vineyards. The 2017 vintage should be of particular interest. It is well known that the frost has caused enormous damage and historically low yields in almost all of Europe. Comforting for winemakers and consumers, however, is the extraordinary quality. A promising and at the same time rare vintage is about to mature. The first tastings are available at PULS 5.

The variety of the offer is impressive. Numerous renowned new exhibitors enrich the assortment with their specialties. As for the foreign wines, Italy is expanding its leader position. Lovers of Swiss wines will be interested in the increased presence of top winemakers from Valais and Ticino. And there will also be some interesting Chinese wines!

Visiting the expovinaPRIMAVERA wine fair is worthwhile not only because of the great and comprehensive range of quality wines that are presented, the more than 100 years old, originally preserved foundry hall provides an impressive setting for the event. Together with the modern design of the fair, it creates a fascinating atmosphere. Particularly in the evenings, with the special lighting, a unique atmosphere is created. Do not miss out on this one of a kind event this spring!

The foundry hall in PULS 5 is only a few minutes’ walk away from Escher-Wyss-Platz and can be reached in just 10 minutes from Zurich main station by public transport. The best way to get there is the tram 4 to Technopark, the tram 17 to Förrlibuckstrasse or the S-Bahn to Zurich Hardbrücke. There are also several car parks available in the immediate vicinity. The exhibition is open from Wednesday, March 21 to Wednesday, March 28, 2018. On workdays from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturdays from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Sundays from 12:00 to 6:00 pm. Entrance fee: CHF 25.- including a catalog. More information:
