So much is certain: this summer is just wonderful! Ok, maybe a bit too hot on some days and then on others it is pouring down. But change is the spice of life and nature will appreciate the rain.

When it is sunny, all we want is be outside. Then, coming home in the evening, we notice – uh, oh – the day left traces on our skin! Redness, sweat, shine…

Here some tips for healthy, glowing skin during summer from Kathleen, the founder of bepure natural skincare:

In hot temperatures, balance, both inside and out, is very important for the body.

1. Drink enough (at least 2 liters per day)
2. Take lukewarm instead of ice cold showers
3. Eat lots of red fruits and vegetables
4. If possible, stay in the shade, otherwise wear a sun hat and apply sunscreen
5. Apply floral water to your skin and hair; it provides a lot of moisture
6. Cleanse your skin gently but thoroughly (avoid heavy rubbing)
7. Use soothing and cooling skin care after sunbathing (see the following DIY tips!)

DIY moisturizing mask with only 3 ingredients:

What is the most important meal of the day? Breakfast, that’s right. Now let’s take some breakfast essentials and make some skinfood! This is a very simple to make but highly effective facemask. You need only the following 3 ingredients:

1/4 ripe banana (moisturizes and provides an instant boost aka GLOW)

1 tbsp. natural yoghurt (natural content of lactic acid, has a very cooling effect)

1 bamboo spoon PURE CLEAN FACE Mask (cleanses and exfoliates gently*)

*Ghassoul plus various flowers, medicinal plants and minerals exfoliate, cleanse and nourish the skin delicately and rosy fresh.

Crush the banana with a fork. Mix it until mushy with natural yoghurt and PURE CLEAN FACE Wash & Mask. Apply to face and cleavage.

DIY skin soothing body oil – for sun-damaged skin

For 100 ml Argan-Lavender body oil with real lavender essential oil you need:

100 ml PURE ARGAN ARGANOIL

20-30 drops of “fine” lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia) has a relaxing, analgesic effect and helps cure inflammation

About 20 drops of vitamin E (optional)

Unscrew the pump closure. Mix the lavender essential oil and the vitamin E well into the Argan oil. Tighten pump closure firmly. Done!

NOTE: The ingredients in the lavender oil are very highly concentrated, which is why the essential oil should never be used undiluted, it is better to mix it with carrier oil. To avoid an allergic reaction, first do the test in the crook of your arm.

If you are suffering from allergies, we recommend you do not add essential oil and just use PURE ARGAN ARGANOIL.
